LGBT WEDDING EXPO KICKS OFF VALENTINE’S SEASON IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA

National Tour of Gay & Lesbian Wedding Expos Kicks Off Valentine’s Season in Las Vegas on Feb. 10, 2013

Las Vegas, Nevada, November 15, 2012 — As the debate continues throughout the nation regarding marriage and family rights for gay & lesbian citizens, the national resource RainbowWeddingNetwork.com is returning to Las Vegas the weekend before Valentine’s Day with its national tour of ‘Same Love, Same Rights’® LGBT Wedding Expos. With premier community sponsor Las Vegas PRIDE, and host sponsor Circus Circus, the upcoming Expo is set for Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 1p.m. to 4pm, and will spotlight dozens of gay-friendly wedding vendors, raffle giveaways, LGBT-planning tips, music, samples and interactive presentations. RSVPs are requested through the event website and 25% of attendee donations will be contributed to Las Vegas PRIDE. Rainbow Wedding Network has produced more than 80 Gay & Lesbian Wedding Expos in 21 states since 2003.

Las Vegas – RainbowWeddingNetwork.com, producer of the national tour ‘Same Love, Same Rights’® Gay & Lesbian Wedding Expos, is returning to Las Vegas for the 3rd Annual Gay & Lesbian Wedding Expo hosted at Circus Circus Las Vegas Hotel & Casino on Sunday, February 10, 2013. Gay and lesbian couples planning engagements over the holidays or Valentine’s Day, as well as all those interested in the issues of marriage and family equality, are invited to attend.

“It continues to be a mighty victory for our minority that same-gender relationships are now being recognized in so many states throughout the country,” said RainbowWeddingNetwork co-founder Cindy Sproul. “While Nevada provides comprehensive domestic partnerships, couples still encounter discrimination and they do not have equal access to all that they need to plan their ceremonies and committed lives together. This is why our expo is so important to this local community.”

Sproul continues, “It’s also important because events like this one provide a place so that couples and other marriage advocates can rally together, become more cohesive, and realistically connect with others who seek to end discrimination. This is how we can build on the momentum of the recent election and enact lasting change for our minority in Las Vegas and throughout America.”

Couples who attend will receive a complimentary swag bag brimming with valuable contacts for planning their own special day, along with fresh ideas regarding LGBT ceremony trends anticipated for 2013. Attendees will have the opportunity to mingle with an array of exhibitors, sample food & beverages, hear from local community advocates, and win raffle giveaways. The event is free to attend; a five dollar donation is requested and RSVPs are available through the www.SameLoveSameRights.com. Approximately 25 percent of donations will be contributed to Las Vegas PRIDE.

Launched in 2000, RainbowWeddingNetwork.com (RWN) has grown to become the most extensive wedding resource for the gay and lesbian community; the website includes a full honeymoon registry, couples’ wedding webpages, LGBT-specific wedding planning tips and an extensive Directory of gay-friendly businesses. A Parenting section is set for launch in late 2012. Following the success of its first LGBT Wedding Expo in Minneapolis in 2003, RWN has produced over eighty such events in 21 states throughout the nation.
