Pahrump, NV, July 22, 2011: The Board of Directors of the Southern Nevada Association of Pride, Inc. (SNAPI) is excited to announce the debut of the first Pahrump Pride. “We are delighted to have the support of Pahrump and Saddle West in helping SNAPI accomplish its mission of educating the community by invoking, promoting and celebrating LGBT pride”, said Ernie Yuen, President of SNAPI. In addition to educating and promoting the LGBT community SNAPI donates the revenue it collects at events to other non-profit organizations in the community.

Pahrump Pride will include two days of festivities. The fun will kick off Friday, when Deejay Danny G will transform the Saddle West Showroom into a dynamic dance party starting at 8pm. Danny G will be spinning the hottest hits with the coolest light show in town. Admission to the dance party will be free, but attendees must be at least 21 years of age. Then later at 10pm Kitty Litter and Friends will be stirring up the laughter with their “Big Wigs Drag Show” in the showroom. Admission to the Kitty Litter show will be free. Saturday, August 20 the festive lineup starts at 11am with “Say Something Hat Day” T-Dance and Pool Party. Come out and enjoy your LGBT friends poolside at Saddle West and wear your most stylish hat. Deejay Danny G will be working the party poolside, where his DJ dance machine will be pumping up the energy with the coolest mixes. Come out, hang out and chill in the pool or enjoy a refreshing drink at the covered patio.

Did someone say “Bingo?” The fun continues Saturday evening at 7pm with “We are Family” Pride Bingo. There will be a $15 bingo buy-in with a $500 coverall. Bingo signups will take place in the Saddle West Showroom. Then at 9pm Pride Royalty, Diana Prince and Friends will be strutting their glamorous drag beauty in their production of “Drag It Out”. Jell-O shots and raffle tickets for prizes will be available at all of the Pahrump Pride events with the proceeds being donated to SNAPI. Raffle drawings will take place directly following bingo.

“We hope this event to be the first of many more happy returns to Pahrump. The Las Vegas Pride event draws approximately 10,000 attendees and each year that number keeps growing so it will be interesting to see how many people come out for Pahrump Pride. With Las Vegas Pride 2011 less than a month away we think Pahrump Pride will be a great kickoff event,” said Daniel Grevich, Chairman of Pahrump Pride. Las Vegas Pride 2011 will be held September 16 & 17.

Saddle West Hotel, Casino and RV Park will be offering a special Pahrump Pride room package. The $99 package deal for 2 guests includes: a 2-night hotel room for Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20, 2 breakfast buffets and 2 drinks.
