SNAPI BOARD ANNOUNCES NEW PRESIDENT

Las Vegas, NV March 19, 2008: It is with a heavy heart that the Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE, Inc. board accepted President Ernie Yuen’s decision to step down on March 18, 2008.

Mr. Yuen has served the Southern Nevada LGBT community with enthusiasm and commitment for many years and has pledged to continue to do so. Ernie decided that, by failing to follow cash handling procedures in a timely manner, he had inadvertently caused board members and the community to call into question the professionalism and honesty of the board as a whole. Mr. Yuen voluntarily elected to resign his executive position to protect the integrity of the SNAPI board and allow the focus to return to the production of SNAPI’s 25th Pride event.

The Board of Directors would like to reassure the community that all SNAPI funds have been deposited and accounted for. In fact, new additional cash handling procedures were adopted on March 18, 2008 to ensure current and future board members are well aware of the need to act timely when handling SNAPI funds. As a board, we understand that every one of us is human and makes errors; therefore, Mr. Yuen remains on the SNAPI board as a director to continue his service to the community in his roles on various pride committees. Ernie has agreed to continue in this capacity with the planning and operation of PRIDE Events. As per SNAPI Bylaws, the Vice‐President, Danny G will serve as acting President for the remainder of this term. Danny G has resided on the SNAPI board for 4 years, of which he was Vice President for 2 years. SNAPI thanks you for your continued support. SNAPI hopes to make PRIDE 2008 the most successful year to date as we celebrate our 25th year!
