Exclusively Inclusive

While I love wintery things, I can say my physical disability impacts all of them. Some impacts are positive, some create challenges, some cause anxiety, and some have been so upsetting that I wished I could have avoided the season altogether. Remember, I’m not an expert, and I’m only speaking about my own experiences, but to help explain, here are some examples.

Exclusively Inclusive – Dig It! Coffee Co.

When I mentioned I was going back to Vegas again, a friend asked me if I had ever been to Dig it! Coffee Co. I had never heard of it, but I love coffee, so why not give it a try? Then I mentioned it to another friend, who said, “Karen, how have you never heard of this place? They focus on hiring people with disabilities,” And now it was my mission to go to Dig it! while visiting Vegas.

Exclusively Inclusive

I remember the first time I went to Vegas. I remember the drive into Vegas, coming up the I-15 North over that hill and seeing the lights of the Strip; it was magical. My three favorite guys and I were on an adventure to escape our busy lives back home. And for me, there was a little wishing that just for this brief time, I could also forget my physical disability.
