Already a two-time #1 Billboard Jazz artist and a favorite among music lovers who crave authenticity wrapped in showmanship, Silver arrives in Las Vegas riding a wave of acclaim for her latest triumph: Basie Rocks!; the electrifying, genre-blending album recorded with the legendary Count Basie Orchestra and now the centerpiece of a nationally televised PBS special.

For Olympia Le Paige, drag has never been just about sequins and spotlight — it’s about storytelling, advocacy, and the art of self-empowerment. As she prepares to step onto the national stage this January for the Miss Gay America Pageant, Olympia is not only competing for a crown; she’s representing a vision of resilience, authenticity, and progress for the entire LGBTQ+ community.

While most apps are asking LGBTQ+ people to date, swipe, flirt, or scroll, one queer founder is asking us to adventure. Rachel Dove — openly lesbian founder, storyteller, and D&D player — created Dungeons Not Dating, a first-of-its-kind platform designed to help LGBTQ+ gamers find safe, inclusive, values-aligned tabletop groups.

Long before the bright lights of the Strip defined Las Vegas entertainment, there was The Green Shack, a beloved local spot that quietly helped shape the city’s cultural and social history. Originally opened by Mattie Jones around 1929, The Green Shack began humbly as a kitchen-window operation serving hearty meals to dam workers. For the Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Conclave 2025 was exactly that moment. This year, our desert home became the epicenter of Sisterhood as more than 40 Sisters from around the world gathered in Las Vegas for a week of reflection, joy, service, and celebration.

Whether you’re building a show-stopping look, planning a fancy night out, hunting for antiques, or just grabbing groceries with personality — Las Vegas has hidden gems and destination shops worth the trip. Here are some of Norma’s personal favorites.

As we head into the end of 2025, we have much to be thankful for and much work left to do for the future. We just wrapped up the Las Vegas PRIDE Parade and Festival, and we have so many things to celebrate (and lots of lessons to help us grow, too). For the first time in our history, we experienced heavy rains during the Las Vegas PRIDE Parade, and we had to cancel the event. We saw a great deal of celebration and positive energy from all our participants, despite our shared disappointment.

When Sauna releases worldwide on November 18, audiences will be witnessing a piece of Danish film history. The debut feature from director Mathias Broe is the first film in Denmark to cast a transgender actor in a leading trans role. But beyond that milestone lies something even more profound, a raw and tender reimagining of love, belonging, and identity that dares to show queer intimacy in its most unguarded form.

This year, I’ve noticed more polarization within this country than ever before in my lifetime. As we move into the holiday season, I wonder how this may impact festivities, if at all. If we spend time with like-minded individuals or follow strict rules not to discuss certain subjects, maybe there won’t be a negative impact. But how do we best handle uncomfortable situations where those controversial or polarizing topics are discussed?

When Dominic Pérignon travels, he carries more than a suitcase. He carries visibility. For the Houston-born, Hollywood-based content creator, journalist, and advocate, each trip is both a test and a triumph. “Some of the standout challenges are simple things most people take for granted: using airport security, finding safe restrooms, or checking into a hotel without someone double-taking my ID,” he explains. Yet those moments of discomfort are balanced by affirmations: hotels that respect pronouns at check-in, campaigns that highlight trans representation, and chance encounters with other queer travelers.

For many transgender individuals in Las Vegas, navigating healthcare can feel like a constant uphill battle. Major healthcare providers often refuse to offer gender-affirming care even while providing comparable hormonal treatments to cisgender patients. That gap has left far too many members of the transgender community without the medical support they need and deserve. Dr. Michael Uzmann, founder of A1Endocrinology, has made it his mission to change that.

Falcor’s journey into the spotlight began, fittingly, at a community celebration: Pirate Fest LV at Craig Ranch Park. Initially, security wasn’t sure about letting a cat into the event, but Falcor had other plans. Once his majestic head peeked out of the backpack, it was clear he belonged in the limelight. Guests instantly fell in love with him, and kids delighted in meeting the real-life namesake of The NeverEnding Story’s beloved flying creature. The festival even offered Falcor a private area for lunch, solidifying his star status.

In the heart of Las Vegas lies a quietly powerful oasis of healing, community, and hope: Lambda Alano Clubhouse. Since the mid-1980s, Lambda has served as a safe, inclusive 12-step recovery clubhouse, specifically welcoming LGBTQ people but open to all. Lambda Alano provides meeting space for Alcoholics Together (AA) and Addicts Together (NA) groups seven days a week.

Right in the heart of Las Vegas, just north of downtown, the Gavin J. Goorjian Health Center is opening doors to something bigger than healthcare, it’s opening doors to community, connection, and hope. As an extension of the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada, the Health Center was built on the belief that healthcare should be accessible, affirming, and rooted in compassion for every person who walks through its doors.

The final months of 2025 arrive like a slow-burning sunset: glowing, introspective, and full of meaning. November invites reflection and deeper connection, while December calls for celebration and closure. It’s a season to honor how far you’ve come and to look ahead with hope, gratitude, and queer joy.
