About Sy Bernabei:

Sy Bernabei has been a social justice warrior for over 20 years. They have worked with AIDS Project Los Angeles, Aid for AIDS of Nevada, the LGBT Center of Southern Nevada, and currently is the Executive Director of Gender Justice Nevada. They are dedicated to an intersectional and inclusive approach to teaching and community mobilizing. They identify as queer and non-binary. They have worked as an outreach worker, case manager, and educator of LGBTQ+ culture and history. They have a degree in secondary education which they use to teach medical providers and community based organizations in allyship. They also facilitate workshops for people in the trans community in using their voice as a tool to increase visibility and understanding. Sy enjoys travelling, dismantling the cis-tem, and embarrassing her kids on social media.
