The Stonewall Riot Rage Fest
June 20 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Since the times of the Stonewall Riots in 1969, our community has always been loud and proud against the sirens of state brutality and the silence of the apathetic masses. We’ve always been fighting back and making our voices heard, letting the world know that we’re here, we’re queer, and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop us.
Come join us at The LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas on Saturday, June 20th, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM for our annual Stonewall Anniversary Art & Talent Exhibition! This year, we’re calling it “The Stonewall Riot Rage Fest,” and it’s a loud and very queer homage to the courageous LGBTQ+ leaders of past eras, who led the way to our freedom and showed us a path to liberation both then and now.
This year, we have a great show for you all, with a lineup of 4 incredible queer local bands giving a full performance from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, plus we’re bringing back and expanding the LGBTQ+ art gallery this year (now accepting art submissions!), including more local pieces and a charity auction to raise money for the community and to support our local artists! We’re also going to have free food and refreshments, along with some educational and informative pieces on the history of the Stonewall Riots, the icons who were there, and the legacy they left for us to carry forward.
We’re absolutely so excited for this event, and we can’t wait to show off all the incredible local queer art and culture here in Las Vegas. For any questions, art submissions, or inquiries, please contact one of our program managers: [email protected] and [email protected]. Hope to see you there!
