The LGBTQ+ Center of Southern Nevada is offering its own Youth Prom. It's a fabulous night of music, food, dancing, and live entertainment for LGBTQ+ teenagers who otherwise may not get a chance to celebrate this special event and create positive lasting memories that will forever impact their lives.

"The Center's Youth Prom is about creating space for LGBTQ+ youth to celebrate their authentic selves. It's a night where they can have fun hanging out with their friends and have the opportunity to meet other LGBTQ+ youth from across the Las Vegas Valley," says Neavez.

This year's prom theme is Enchanted Forest. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their finest magical garments and accessories, and anyone can be crowned the winner of three royal categories.

The Enchanted Forest Youth Prom will be held at KAOS at Palms Casino Resort on June 3, 2023, from 7 pm to 10 pm. It is a free event for LGBTQ+ youth and allies between 13 and 18.

Born and bred in New York City, Monét X Change is an entertainment spitfire and the first double crown winner from Rupaul’s Drag Race having earned the title Miss Congeniality on Season 10 and becoming the first queen of color inducted into the hall of fame after winning All-Stars 4. Known for delivering energetic and show-stopping performances, Monét’s showmanship is a reflection of a tireless work ethic to cultivate and perfect her immaculate lip-syncing skills, comedic chops, and (mostly) pitch-perfect live singing skills.

Combining her passion for the art of drag with her uniquely fresh spin on it, monet has traveled the globe with her one-woman show, call me by monet, as well as hosting and performing in the Werq the World tour. Monét also released her first episode, unapologetically, co-writing the project and conceiving the accompanying visual album.

Monét is currently focusing her hilarious and oftentimes socio-political humor as the host of her own talk show, the X Change Rate, airing on Build Series by Yahoo and co-hosting the Sibling Rivalry podcast and tour with Bob The Drag Queen.

Māhū Magic, a captivating evening of glam and all things fabulous. A showcase of Native Hawaiian and Polynesian Drag performers, Māhū Magic will ignite the ballroom of the Westgate Resort in Las Vegas. This is the first event that is being produced, designed, and performed by an all-Polynesian drag cast of performers in Las Vegas. Produced by the ultra-lovely Lekia Williams, Māhū Magic features internationally renowned LGBTQI+ performers and will feature Hawai‘i’s Kumu Hinaleimoana Wong, Kumu Hula Kaumakaiwa Kealiikanakaole, and newly crowned winner of Ru Paul's Drag Race Season 15, Sasha Colby. Big Valley Pro Wrestling presents their 2023 installment of LOUD & PROUD! An action-packed fundraiser for the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada, featuring the incredible talent of the LGBTQIA+ Community in Pro Wrestling. The purpose of the Equality Luncheon is to educate the LGBTQ+ community, and allies, about the pro-equality bills that went through the legislative process during the 2023 Nevada Legislative Session. Additionally, an LGBTQ+ community leader/advocate will be recognized and presented with an award for their work. Sponsorship and tabling opportunities are available. Tickets are available online.
