This year, I’ve noticed more polarization within this country than ever before in my lifetime. As we move into the holiday season, I wonder how this may impact festivities, if at all. If we spend time with like-minded individuals or follow strict rules not to discuss certain subjects, maybe there won’t be a negative impact. But how do we best handle uncomfortable situations where those controversial or polarizing topics are discussed?
When Dominic Pérignon travels, he carries more than a suitcase. He carries visibility. For the Houston-born, Hollywood-based content creator, journalist, and advocate, each trip is both a test and a triumph. “Some of the standout challenges are simple things most people take for granted: using airport security, finding safe restrooms, or checking into a hotel without someone double-taking my ID,” he explains. Yet those moments of discomfort are balanced by affirmations: hotels that respect pronouns at check-in, campaigns that highlight trans representation, and chance encounters with other queer travelers.

Lambda Alano provides meeting space for Alcoholics Together (AA) and Addicts Together (NA) groups seven days a week.
Right in the heart of Las Vegas, just north of downtown, the Gavin J. Goorjian Health Center is opening doors to something bigger than healthcare, it’s opening doors to community, connection, and hope. As an extension of the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada, the Health Center was built on the belief that healthcare should be accessible, affirming, and rooted in compassion for every person who walks through its doors.
The final months of 2025 arrive like a slow-burning sunset: glowing, introspective, and full of meaning. November invites reflection and deeper connection, while December calls for celebration and closure. It’s a season to honor how far you’ve come and to look ahead with hope, gratitude, and queer joy.

When filmmaker Michael Hyman set out to create Reflections, he wanted to push the boundaries of Andy Warhol’s iconic 1960s Screen Tests. Warhol asked his subjects to sit silently for three minutes before his lens. Hyman raised the stakes. “I thought it would be interesting to take it a step further and have the subjects look into a mirror at their own reflection,” he says.
