Fabulous, Fearless, and Fierce

In a world craving bold new heroes, Maxxie LaWow: Drag Super-Shero struts onto the scene in six-inch heels, glitter blazing, and heart fully exposed. Premiering on TVOD platforms June 17, this vibrant animated musical fantasy is more than just a groundbreaking celebration of drag—it’s a love letter to queer resilience, chosen family, and the power of personal transformation.

Cocktail Coalition

The second annual Las Vegas PRIDE Bar Hop was a tremendous success! Over seventy-five participants joined Las Vegas PRIDE on April 5, for the only local queer bar crawl in Southern Nevada! With a quick survey of the rowdy bunch, at least 50% of our guests were first-time virgins at a bar crawl with Las Vegas PRIDE.

From Mannequins to Microbrews

Located at the edge of Chinatown and just around the corner from Area 15, Las Vegas Mannequins is just as mysterious as any local curiosity shop. Running about a block along the beginning of West Desert Inn, with its massive colorful façade and two or three dark three-dimensional figures climbing up the outer wall, we find Las Vegas Mannequins.

Facts Over Fear

Amidst numerous attacks on trans individuals like me who simply want to live our lives as our true selves, the latest battle of the constant culture wars has focused on our ability to participate in sports. While we make up a small portion of the general population and an even smaller portion of professional athletes, policymakers, legislators, and anti-LGBTQ+ activist groups are campaigning to erase our existence in sports.

Norma Knows? Always Good Advice from Auntie Norma

SPRING HAS SPRUNG and GONE! It lasted 2 days, and now we sweat with the onset of summer, just days after the Easter Bunny popped his carrot! Well, at least something is popping up between the lilies and the bushes! You cannot imagine the emails that I have been receiving! Last month, I even received an email from the STATE PRISON. He wanted my recipe for cherry pie……ALLEGEDLY. “TIME FOR T!”

Pahrump PROUD

As we travel back into Nye County for 2025, we will celebrate five amazing years of Pahrump PROUD! Originally the brainchild of Jim McCoy, immediate friends Craig Bohannon and James Davis jumped in to make the event one of the first annual National Pride month (June) celebrations in Pahrump Valley. This year, in conjunction with the Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE, Inc., Pahrump PROUD will become Pahrump PRIDE.

Exclusively Inclusive.

When I think of my experiences with sports, I think about the Arthritis Camp, located at the YMCA’s Camp Marston in San Diego County. I started going to this camp during my early teen years. When it was introduced to me, I remember thinking, “Some stupid camp for kids with arthritis…no thank you.”
