The crazy brainchild of our very own Mrs. Las Vegas PRIDE 2024, Norma Llyaman, has just turned one year old! OLD BROADS, BALLADS, and BOOZE. Every third Sunday Brunch at The Phoenix Bar and Lounge started as a silly idea and has grown into something quite spectacular.

Old Broads celebrates old-school traditional drag! Requirements for being in the cast are simple! Performers must be over forty, and no music created past 1980 will be performed unless it is an old vibe mix (Post Modern Jukebox). At first, it was a shocking thought in this Rupaulian age of drag, but the gimmick worked, and the guests loved it!

Taking the stage at The Phoenix every third Sunday at 3:30 PM is a diverse cast of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, decades, and eras! The rotating cast is continually shocking the crowd with crazy theatrics and performances. Norma presented a star-studded cast for the first anniversary, including Divine, Whitney Houston, Dolly, Bette Midler, Judy Garland, Patsy Cline, Barbra Streisand, and even Grace Jones.

Old Broads gives the “seasoned queens” a place to shine! The show represents nostalgia to those who have been in the community for years and presents to a younger generation the classics of drag performance and music from the vault. Norma tries to curate each show with something fresh and exciting every month. Music can range from 1930s Billie Holliday to 1980s Pop hits and the craziest mixes ever created! The cast has also been highly successful at the most challenging show to date, CLASSICS – A DRAG ROULETTE!

Join Auntie Norma’s Old Broads, Ballads, and Booze every third Sunday at The Phoenix Bar and Lounge on West Sahara Ave. The party starts at 2 PM with unlimited Mimosas, and the show begins at 3:30 PM. For additional show information, look for Norma Llyaman on Facebook.
