Trans Day of Visibility (TDOV): An Afternoon of Connection, Celebration, and Courageous Joy
By Las Vegas PRIDE Magazine Staff
On Saturday, March 28, 2026, the community will gather at The LGBTQ+ Center of Southern Nevada for an afternoon of celebration, connection, and courageous joy as it hosts its annual Trans Day of Visibility (TDoV) event. Taking place from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Center, located at 401 S. Maryland Parkway, this year’s observance promises to be both affirming and unforgettable.
Trans Day of Visibility is dedicated to celebrating the ongoing contributions of transgender and nonbinary people. More than a symbolic date on the calendar, it is a declaration: trans people are here, they are thriving, and they are an integral part of the Las Vegas community. In a time when visibility often requires both pride and resilience, TDoV offers space not only for recognition but for collective empowerment.

The March 28 celebration will begin with a community rally designed to uplift and center trans voices. The rally serves as a powerful reminder that visibility is more than being seen, it is about being heard, valued, and protected. From there, the festivities will flow into an open house atmosphere featuring food, drinks, and music, creating opportunities for connection among friends, families, and allies.

A highlight of the afternoon will be a live show spotlighting talented members of the Las Vegas transgender community. The showcase will blend artistry and advocacy, celebrating the creativity and cultural impact of local trans performers. Hosting the live show is Sarah Amie Dorsey, the 2025 Trailblazer Award winner, who brings both heart and inspiration to the stage.
“To quote Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl, the only thing more powerful than hate is love,” Dorsey shared. “TDoV is not just a party; it’s a chance for us to celebrate how much we bring to the world.” Referencing global superstar Bad Bunny and one of the most-watched stages in the world, her message underscores the universal truth at the core of Trans Day of Visibility: love, community, and authenticity will always outshine fear.
The event will also feature an awards presentation honoring individuals who help make Las Vegas a welcoming home for transgender people. Awards will be presented in four categories: Youth, Trailblazer, Icon, and Provider, recognizing those who lead, inspire, and serve the community with dedication and compassion.
Organizers at The Center LV are encouraging the entire community to attend, with a special call to allies to show up in solidarity. Trans Day of Visibility is open to the public, welcoming people of all identities to stand in affirmation of trans lives and trans futures.
At its heart, TDoV is about more than visibility; it is about belonging. It is about celebrating the brilliance, resilience, and contributions of transgender and nonbinary neighbors who enrich Southern Nevada’s cultural fabric every day.
On March 28, Las Vegas will not simply witness visibility, it will celebrate it.
