Welcome to the 19th Annual PRIDE Night Parade!
Aloha!
My name is Ernie Yuen and I am the Las Vegas PRIDE Parade Committee Chairman. I am excited to be back as chairman to the parade committee for another year. I love parades, it’s a great way to give back to our community. Our evening parade provides a wonderful opportunity for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community to shine bright as illuminated floats pass through the streets of Las Vegas, the City of Lights. The Board of Directors of Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE, Inc. (SNAPI) is excited to announce this great event for businesses, organizations, and individuals to show their Pride while supporting the GLBT community. Our theme for 2017 is “United Together”. We look forward to seeing your unique and creative entries utilizing this year’s theme.
Our Mission: “to educate the community by invoking, promoting, and celebrating gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender Pride”
It is the purpose of the PRIDE Night Parade and PRIDE Festival to entertain and celebrate our mission. SNAPI’s parade and festival are a grand expression of the many facets of our local gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community here in Las Vegas. Both events serve as a great way to educate the community at large about who we are. This is the time for our community to work together as a group to honor, learn, and educate from the past while reaffirming our goals for the future.
The Board of Directors is excited to see what will happen at this year’s PRIDE Night Parade. Last year, more than 100 entries dazzled the streets of Las Vegas and we hope to again top 100 this year. With our partnership with Cox, we will once again be broadcasting our night parade for everyone to see.
SNAPI wants to see everyone in our community participate in this year’s night PRIDE parade. So, we are making is easy for you! Other than a simple $35 admin fee for businesses or a $25 admin fee for nonprofits and church groups, your participation in this year’s parade is FREE! Admin fees will cover the cost of permits. Remember, participants will benefit from a broad range of local and regional media coverage from Cox Cable, print and radio media, internet, and television news organizations.
If you are interested in participating in our next parade, please review our PRIDE Parade Contingent Application Forms. We are happy to announce that all parade applications are now online. Just fill in the blanks, hit submit and you’re done! We tried our best to make it as simple as possible. General Parade information and Parade Rules & Regulations are easy to access as well.
