Las Vegas PRIDE 501c3 Status

he Board of Directors of the Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE, Inc. is excited to announce the reinstatement of the Organization’s 501(c)(3) Non-Profit status as of July, 2014. The decision presented by the IRS confirms that all donations received by SNAPI and all activities and actions taken on behalf of the Organization have been reviewed and approved.

PRIDE Family Bingo Returns to Las Vegas

as Vegas – PRIDE Family Bingo returns to Las Vegas at its new home inside The Gay and Lesbian Community Center of Southern Nevada (The Center) on Wednesday, June 4 at 6 p.m. Led by bingo hostesses Norma and Doris, PRIDE Family Bingo will be held the first Wednesday of each month at The Center. Each evening will feature a happy hour at 6 p.m. followed by bingo at 7 p.m., a unique theme, costume contest and numerous prizes including assorted gift baskets, hotel night stays, gift cards and much more. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase for those seeking an extra chance to take home a prize.

orn under the sign of fire, Selena feels passion is everything. A native to Hawaii, Selena considered herself a coconut girl in a high fashion world. A makeup artist and hairstylist by trade, she has traveled across the globe, adding her magic touch to many celebrities, royalty, fashion shows, and television as well as in the pageant world. A hard worker, a strong believer that you never rest, her work hard ethics have inspired many to be just like her.

Las Vegas PRIDE LGBT Night at the Fright Dome Announced

October 14, 2012

outhern Nevada Association of PRIDE, Inc. and Fright Dome at Circus Circus will be teaming up this year for the first ever LGBT night, “Fright Night 2012.” October 30 is now the night to wear orange. To add fashion and flair to the evening, a collectible ‘Fright Night 2012’ T-shirt was created. Guests are encouraged to wear orange, be proud and be seen! Ghouls and goblins will roll out the rainbow carpet as Las Vegas PRIDE joins Fright Dome’s 10th anniversary. This is a special night at Fright Dome dedicated to the Las Vegas LGBT community including family, friends and supporters.

he Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE, Inc. (SNAPI) announced today that the official Las Vegas Gay PRIDE iOS App is now available as a free download from the iTunes App Store. The app, a joint development effort with EDGE Media Network, will allow iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users to view up-to-the-minute information about Las Vegas’ annual Gay PRIDE Parade, Festival and associated events.

Las Vegas PRIDE Family BINGO Is Back, Bigger & Better Than Ever!

riginally started at Hamburger Mary’s Las Vegas in 2005, PRIDE Family Bingo was a monthly fundraiser for the annual Las Vegas PRIDE Festival. With the help of Hamburger Mary’s owners Andy Barrett, James Healey, DJ Danny G and BINGO Chairman Ernie Yuen, PRIDE Family Bingo grew into a popular monthly community event.

This years’ conference features three opportunities to watch the PBS Documentary Not In Our Town: Light in the Darkness that tells the story of the town of Patchogue, Long Island and how their community came together to take action after an anti-immigrant hate crime devastated the community.

5th Annual Ornament & Wreath Auction Announced

n December 6, 2011 Las Vegas PRIDE will host their 5th Annual Ornament and Wreath Auction at The Shoppes at the Palazzo. Beginning at 7pm, the event features over 45 hand decorated ornaments fashioned by local artists and celebrities including Nick San Pedro, Frank Marino, Terry Fator and artists from Cirque du Soleil’s “Zumanity” and “O”.

Las Vegas Community Loses A Dear Friend, Phil Wells

hil Wells was a Bartender at The Garage, a local hangout spot for many in the Las Vegas LGBT Community, and a great supporter of Las Vegas PRIDE. Phil was one of the people that helped to make The Garage extra special. Guests knew that they would find Phil with a warm, sweet smile and a huge hug from the moment they walked through the door.

Pahrump PRIDE Makes Its Debute At Saddle West Hotel, Casino & RV Park

he Board of Directors of the Southern Nevada Association of Pride, Inc. (SNAPI) is excited to announce the debut of the first Pahrump Pride. Saddle West Hotel, Casino and RV Park will be the proud host property for the Pahrump Pride event, taking place Friday, August 19 and Saturday, August 20, 2011. Saddle West is located less than one hour west of Las Vegas on Highway 160.

Do you want over 15,000 spectators seeing your baby in a parade? Now is your chance! Las Vegas Pride Parade Committee is looking for owners of vintage convertibles willing to donate their time and share their car in our fabulous nighttime parade. We are looking for amazing classic cars for special VIP guests: including our Grand Marshal, Mr. and Miss Las Vegas Pride, Special VIP’s and Former Royalty.

2011 Las Vegas PRIDE Parade Grand Marshall Named

he 2011 Las Vegas PRIDE Parade Committee is proud to announce Josh Strickland as the Las Vegas PRIDE Parade Celebrity Grand Marshall. Josh is a man of many hats- entertainer, singer, actor, philanthropist, and now, PRIDE Celebrity Grand Marshall. He currently stars as the lead male role in the Las Vegas favorite, PEEPSHOW at Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort. Josh is also one of the stars in E! Channel’s hit reality show, “Holly’s World,” alongside BFF Holly Madison. He has also taken the music world by storm with the release of his first solo single, “Report to the Floor.” The single zoomed to the top ten of the iTunes dance chart. His most recent single, “Last Dance,” has too burned up the dance charts. Both songs showcase Josh’s amazing vocals and have really allowed him to express himself as an artist.

(SNAPI, Las Vegas PRIDE) Brandon Johnson, known as Diva Delafuente when performing as a female impersonator was named Miss. Las Vegas PRIDE 2010. The title, which is earned, not competed for in a pageant, represents countless hours of volunteering, dedication, and hard work. Applicants interested in holding the title of Miss. Las Vegas PRIDE must demonstrate their dedication to the organization before being considered a qualified candidate. Brandon met and exceeded those qualifications.

SNAPI Cautions Against Imitation PRIDE Events

We have been successful in creating recognition of the needs of our community and putting a “face” to GLBT issues. SNAPI Unveils New Look For 2008

he Southern Nevada Association of Pride, Inc. (SNAPI) formally unveiled a new brand identity today that represents a significant milestone in the organization’s history and further signifies the organization’s evolution into a solid member of the Lesbian, Gay, Bi‐sexual, and Transgender (LGBT) community. The new Las Vegas Pride logo draws upon strength in boldness and color and aspires to engender pride in all members of the LGBT community.

SNAPI, 25 Years Of Service & Domestic Violence

his year, the Southern Nevada Association of Pride (SNAPI) is celebrating the 25th anniversary of supporting the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community. Over the years, the role of SNAPI, as well as the name, has changed and evolved. The initial role for SNAPI was to support the GLBT community, through education of the community as a whole, and to operate the annual Las Vegas Pride Festival. We have been successful in creating recognition of the needs of our community and putting a “face” to GLBT issues. In addition, we have become a major fund raiser, providing funds for many GLBT‐supporting agencies. Two of those agencies SNAPI is most proud to support are Safe Nest (an agency providing safe harbor for those in need) and the Community Counseling Center (an agency providing behavioral health services in a safe environment).
