LAS VEGAS PRIDE CELEBRATES 26TH ANNIVERSARY

National & Local Celebrities Converge For Las Vegas PRIDE Festivities

Las Vegas, NV, March 19, 2009: This year marks the 26th Anniversary of Las Vegas PRIDE. As in years past, this year the diversity and pride of the Las Vegas gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) community will be celebrated over the course of two weeks of events culminating with the annual Las Vegas PRIDE Night Parade on May 1st and Pride Festival on May 2nd.

PRIDE’s 11th Annual Night Parade promises to be grander than any other PRIDE parade ever held in Las Vegas! Join us on May 1st from 8 to 10 p.m. in downtown Las Vegas for the most glamorous, glittering spectacle ever created by the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community of Southern Nevada. This year’s PRIDE Night Parade features Las Vegas’ gay and straight business community, nonprofit organizations, GLBT service agencies, civic groups and churches as well as our newly crowned adult and youth PRIDE royalty. The party starts early at the Fremont St. Experience with the first PRIDE Night Parade Pre‐Party. Revelers will enjoy early entertainment at the Fremont St. Experience 3rd St. Stage from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. After the parade, the party will continue all night long at FreeZone Las Vegas for the Official PRIDE Night Parade After‐Party.

This year Cox Communications is proud to support Southern Nevada’s GLBT community as the official broadcast partner of the 2009 PRIDE Night Parade. Watch the parade LIVE on May 1 from 8 to 10 pm on Cox Channel 96 or online at www.cox96.net. Or party all night at the parade and catch all the fun
AGAIN during one of 8 rebroadcasts on Cox Channel 96 at 8pm on May 7, 9, 11, 14, 17, 18, 24, and 25. The parade route begins at West Charleston Blvd. and heads north along 4th Street to Ogden Avenue. The parade main stage is located at 4th Street and Bridger Avenue just two blocks south of the Fremont Street Experience.

Celebrate Diversity at the Las Vegas PRIDE Festival where everyone is welcome. GLBT families, couples, and singles along with their friends and straight allies join together for an entire day of fabulous fun at this great event. This year, the Las Vegas PRIDE Festival welcomes hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees at the beautiful Clark County Government Center on Saturday, May 2, 2009 from noon until 10pm. Martha Wash, Justin Lanning, Guy B, Chico’s Angels, Rio’s Masquerade Show in the Sky, and numerous other entertainers will grace the Las Vegas PRIDE Festival Main & Community Stages. Adult festival admission is $10.00. Ages five to 17 get in for just $6 and children under five get in free. Advance tickets may be purchased online at www.lasvegaspride.org. The PRIDE Festival grounds have been expanded this year to welcome more exhibitors, include a greater
food and beverage selection, and provide activities and entertainment for all ages. Families in attendance will find a newly added Family Activity Zone. We have also doubled the entertainment lineup with the addition of a second stage.

The Southern Nevada Association of PRIDE thanks all celebrators of PRIDE for their continued support and urges them to support the events that give back to the community. All official Las Vegas PRIDE events can be found on our website: www.LasVegasPRIDE.org.
